I love this time of year especially because it’s the start of baking season in our house. This super easy Apple Crisp dish has been a staple of mine for years and never disappoints! I’ve posted the original recipe below, but feel free to improvise. (I usually double up on the oat topping and use less sugar and flour) Either way, it’s going to be a hit, I promise…especially with a side of French Vanilla ice cream. Enjoy 🙂
Super Easy Apple Crisp
6 medium apples, sliced and peeled
1/3 C granulated sugar
2 tbsp of flour
2 tsp of cinnamon
1 C quick rolled oats
1/2 C flour
1/2 C brown sugar
1/2 C butter
Line apple sliced in the bottom of a 2 quart baking dish. In a small bowl combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Add to fruit and toss.
Topping: Combine oats, sugar and cinnamon. Melt butter and combine with oat mixture until crumbly. SPrinkle over fruit. Bake at 350degrees for 55 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
